we did a shoot outside salford lads club for billy whizz's junk magazine, it was a mental day, we had cheeky little kids climbing all over the bikes, i was scared shitless of them damaging anything, luckily the day ended with out disaster, the bike is featured in issue 2 of junk, go subscribe now, or the bogie man will get you, also please visit the salford lads club website and buy a t shirt, they rely on the selling of t shirts to raise funds, they get nothing from the government, and we all wear a t shirt when working the bikes, post me a picture of you wearing your SLC t shirt and i'll send you some stickers, so come on guys, it won't kill you, they ship international so no excuses for the overseas guys, please help them, its something i feel very passionate about, cheers,Spindle

ROCKSOLID MOTORCYCLES

I bought a frame off my friend Sergio, he lives in Portugal.  He Emailed me a few days ago to tell me it was all ready, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.  A few days later i got a phone call from Sergio telling me he was an hour from my house and would I be in. Sergio had personally delivered the frame from his workshop to my house, that’s a round trip of 2100 miles. You just can’t beat that for service.  Thanks Sergio, I owe you big time.

i went to the first and the third, i missed tipple run two cos i sold my bike before my new bike was built, what a twat!!!!

any how, if your in to hard core riding, camping, hanging with cool and interesting like minded people, then book some time off work, or even better, phone in sick and save your holidays for family gatherings, and get your arse in gear, this event is organised by my dear friend Sumo, one of the coolest cats in town, there arnt many rules, all you need is a bike, a tent and sleeping bag, and a fist full of travellers cheques, you'd be welcome if you turned up on a donkey wearing a mexican blanket, so no excuses, how easy is that!!

SALFORD LADS CLUB

I am a proud Salford lad, my father was also a Salford lad, and his father too. I've been invited to have my bikes featured in a cool magazine, and i was also asked to find a cool location, so i chose the "Salford Lads Club". I emailed the manager there who as given me consent to do the photo shoot at the front door of the club, anyone remember "The Smiths" inside album cover to "The Queen is Dead".  Any how, its the 100th anniversary camp this year and I've been sent this cool photo of two campers riding their motorbike through the camp site. It brings back memories of me and my buddies at several camp/rally sites I've been to and riding through them pissed up and having a fucking good laugh, i guess somethings will never change. just got back from prauge to hear this terrible news, i knew johnny cool as a good friend for several years, i am totally gutted to hear he is no longer with us, i first met him at the hot rod drags a few years back, he was on his flathead and was stoked that GKM where doing a photo shoot of his bike for the mag, it appeared in issue 3,  over the years i met and spilt beer with johnny at various gatherings across the uk, i luv ya, and will miss ya, i am lost for words and i am sick to the core.

DENVER MULLINS

the chopper godfather, he died in october 1992 after his race boat sank in a lake, he was pinned in the boat and drowned.  I loved reading about his stuff in mags back in the day.  Heres a few pictures of his bikes.

i also read the postings on Jockey Journal that his daughter lisa posted, the whole thread had me in tears, she expressed how she dealt with her feelings towards her dad. It was mind blowing stuff.

anyhow, just bought my first item for the bike, many more to follow, DON'T tell manda, she will kill me, £850 to my door, looking forward to starting this one. will be using an old iron head lump, 16's front and rear, lovely Firestone's either end, bare metal tank and seat, matt brown frame, black gloss wheels and leafers, should save a fortune on paint, i only need "LUCKY 69" painting on either side of the gas tank. and i will be looking for a mooosive front light, an old battered affair would be preferable.
